So why am I writing a blog, and better yet, why should you read it?
I decided that when I started training for my first marathon I would want to remember what I was feeling throughout the experience and look back on my success. I also wanted to share my experience with others who are doing the same thing as me, or thinking about doing, or for my friends and family who are trying to understand why i’m doing it at all.
I started running in January of 2007 after feeling the need for a hobby, and also because my Sister is a runner and she was making me feel like a lump. And I fell in love with how it made me feel. The year culminated with me running the OUC Half Marathon and I knew I wanted to try a full…so here I am.
I’m not an expert on running, or health and wellness, but, it’s a major component of my life and I take it really seriously. I enjoy sharing all the good things with others so that maybe they can find the inner strength or empowerment to make a positive change in their life.
After I complete my first marathon in June, this blog will take on a new role…i’m not sure what that is yet, but stay tuned to find out!

I have subscribed to your blog, because I am training for my first marathon! I will be running in October. Thanks for all of the great links and motivation!
Hey! My name is Ryan, and I am also training for my first marathon. What is the best advice you have for me? My race is in October in Greenville, SC, and to be honest, I am getting nervous. Oh, and by the way, I have the same shoes as you, but in boys! Thanks for any advice.
